About the Trip and Program
For years, InfluenceHers Abroad has taken professional women to Africa for cultural immersion and service. Now, through Roots to Empowerment, we’re expanding this mission to include recent high school grads and college students.
In partnership with the Grace and Wisdom Institute (GAWI), we’re pairing young women with accomplished professionals for a transformative journey to Kenya in June 2026. Together, they’ll serve communities, connect with local leaders, and explore Kenya’s culture and beauty — from Nairobi to safari adventures.
This intergenerational experience provides students with mentorship, leadership skills, and global exposure, while professional women continue their own growth through service and connection.

Trip Overview
Here’s what participants can expect during this unforgettable 12-day journey:
Dates: June 25 – July 6, 2026
Location: Nairobi & Amboseli National Park, Kenya
Highlights Include:
Service projects at local schools
Leadership workshops with local partners
Luncheon with Kenyan leaders and businesswomen
Cultural immersion and community visits
Safari experience in Amboseli National Park
Mentorship and guidance from professional women traveling alongside students
💡 Trip Cost: $4,700 – $5,000 per traveler
(Covers accommodations, International Airfare from JFK, in-country transportation, cultural activities, safari, and most meals. Fundraising support available for students.)
*Price is based on double occupancy. Single occupancy is available at an additional cost

Students
If you’re a recently graduated senior or a first- or second-year college student, this is your chance to apply for the Roots to Empowerment program and take part in a once-in-a-lifetime leadership and cultural exchange experience.

Professional Women
Join the trip as a mentor and guide. Professional women will support students throughout the journey, share wisdom, and also experience the cultural and service components of the trip alongside them
